We’ll be screening at the Belize International Film Festival on July 15th and at the Gimli Film Festival on July 27th! Gimli is just a short trip from Winnipeg, so check it out if you’re in the area. It’s always cool when people get what you’re trying to do, so it’s awesome to be on this list of Young Filmmakers. Even better is that Kristina Nikolova is on there too (went to NYU with her) and her film Faith Love & Whiskey ended up winning at DIFF!

Harnarine’s “Doubles” is an exquisitely acted story about a father returning to the son and wife he abandoned years earlier inTrinidad. Told from the son’s perspective, “Doubles” applies sharp pressure to its familiar immigrant situation, rendering a conflict of emotions that gets at the heart of generation and morality. It’s Harnarine’s first outing as a director, and his is a name to remember.

We’re extremely proud to announce that Doubles With Slight Pepper is a Wasserman Finalist at the First Run Film Festival. Also, Errol Sitahal received an acting award. This man deserves so much recognition for his work on this film – so do all of the other actors! Errol was an incredible resource and friend to this film.
